Brandeis University's Office of Graduate Affairs (OGA) has online resources that can help you prepare for your time at Brandeis prior to arrival. Please check out their "Before You Arrive" website, which has great information on things to do before you get here.
Their virtual courses are available through Brandeis' Moodle Communities platform. Please log in to Moodle Communities using your Brandeis username (the first part of your Brandeis email address) and password. There are eleven mini-courses available under the title “Graduate Student Resources and Information.” Each will open on a weekly schedule throughout the summer and then remain available during your time at Brandeis. Many of these courses will be supplemented by a synchronous virtual question and answer (Q&A) session, usually on the Thursday following the courses’ opening date.
Please make sure that you go through the course before attending these sessions, as they are an opportunity for you to ask questions!

July 29, 2025 | 9:00 am - 10:00 am ET | on Zoom
All international graduate students are invited to attend this presentation by the ISSO. You are invited to attend the “Introduction to the ISSO and Maintaining Status in the U.S.” Presentation. This is an important presentation that is mandatory for all international graduate students with a Brandeis issued immigration document.
This presentation will introduce you to the ISSO, and provide you with the opportunity to learn about the immigration regulations that you must follow to maintain your status in the U.S. It is important to attend this session since it is your responsibility to understand and follow immigration regulations regarding your status. If your immigration document was not issued by Brandeis, you must consult the institution/organization that issued your document for immigration guidance.
