The School of Business and Economics would like to welcome you to our diverse, global community. We are pleased you will be joining us, and we look forward to working with you as
you adjust to the rigors of graduate studies.
Over the next few months, you will receive information on how to best prepare for your graduate experience. We encourage you to take advantage of these opportunities. You will also be invited
to meet with your program advisor from the Office of Academic Affairs and Student Experience

The OAASE is here to support you in your academics and student life experience at Brandeis School of Business and Economics from orientation to graduation!
You will be assigned a SBE Peer Mentor! They are second-year graduate SBE students who
serve as incoming student mentors and help new students with their academic, cultural
adjustment and community life to the school. You will hear from them in the next 2-3 weeks.
They will be reaching out throughout the summer and greeting you in-person during orientation! Pre-arrival Modules by the International Students and Scholars Office (ISSO)
The "International Student Pre-Arrival Modules" were created to assist international students as they prepare for their arrival at Brandeis University. These modules are required for all
incoming undergraduate and graduate F-1 and J-1 students and should be completed before arrival at Brandeis. International students who have been admitted to Brandeis University will receive an email with instructions on how to complete the modules approximately one month before their program start date.

Students with disabilities make up an important part of our Brandeis community. Our diverse community includes students with a range of physical, sensory, psychological, medical and learning disabilities.
While appreciating the strengths and needs of all students, Student Accessibility Support seeks
to promote the growth of undergraduate and graduate students through individual connections, campus-wide initiatives and collaboration with others in the Brandeis community.
Accommodations at Brandeis
A reasonable accommodation can be an added support, the removal of a barrier, an adjustment
to a policy, or other modification of materials, practices, and spaces.
Accommodations are designed to support equal access for people with disabilities/medical conditions. Requests for accommodations that would fundamentally alter the nature of a course, assignment, experience, etc., or would result in an "undue hardship" as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act may not be considered reasonable and may not be approved.
Depending on the nature of the disability and the particular needs of the student, students may utilize a variety of supports. These can include, but are not limited to:Please Note: Essential programmatic requirements cannot be altered and are determined by faculty and departments. As a student at Brandeis, you are expected to meet all academic and behavioral expectations of both the courses you are taking and of the broader campus community. | |
